Biography

Mr. Daniel Balmisse serves as Member of the Advisory Board at Impact Partenaires. Mr. Balmisse serves as Managing Partner at Cathay Innovation. He served as Chief Operating Officer at Cathay Capital Private Equity. He serves as Co-Chief Operating Officer at Cathay. He is a Chief Operating Officer of Cathay Capital and is based in Paris. Prior to joining Cathay Capital Private Equity in August 2016, he was Executive Director and Member of the Executive Committee of Bpi France in charge of the fund of funds business. In July 2005, He joined CDC Entreprises as deputy CEO for venture capital funds of funds activities, then took over the responsibility for investments in expansion capital as well as regional funds. He successfully built an integrated and consistent fund-of-funds business with more than 300 funds and €5 bn under management. In 1997, He joined the Private Equity division (CDC Participations) at the Caisse des Dépôts. He was in charge of venture capital investments in the Information Technology and Communications sector. He was appointed a Member of the Management Board and COO of CDC Ixis Innovation in 2002. He began his professional career in 1988 with engineering and management positions in the telecommunications industry, first at the Société Internationale de Telecommunications Aéronautiques (SITA) and then at France Telecom. He graduated from SUPELEC.
