Biography
Mr. Joe McConnell serves as Partner & Portfolio Manager at Castlelake. He joined Castlelake in 2007 and is focused on aviation investment opportunities. Mr. McConnell sources transactions, negotiates purchase and lease terms, and implements exit strategies. He has successfully acquired more than 100 aircraft in addition to investments made in EETCs, aircraft ABS, airline bank debt, convertible bonds, common equity and bankruptcy claims. Mr. McConnell served on creditor's committees for two real estate investments and also on the bank debt committee, which led the US Airways amendment processes. Prior to joining Castlelake, Mr. McConnell was with Piper Jaffray's mergers and acquisitions group, specializing in the industrial, transportation and business services sectors. Mr. McConnell received his B.S.B. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in Finance and Accounting, summa cum laude.
