Biography

Mr. Kevin Ray serves as Vice Chairman & Deputy Head of U.S. Corporate at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets. He oversees our client activities in the following sectors: Energy, Power, Financial Services, Healthcare, Automotive, Technology, Shipping, Aerospace, Media & Telecommunications, Real Estate & Gaming and Diversified Industries. He also has oversight responsibility for Scotiabank's regulatory and compliance obligations in the U.S., oversees our U.S. securitization business and is a member of the Bank's Senior Credit Committee. Prior to his current position, Kevin was based in London, England for 10 years (1990 - 2000) and ran the Bank's European businesses. Kevin joined the Bank during 1980 in New York and for the first 10 years had positions of increasing responsibility before relocating to London. Kevin is Chairman and a Director of Scotiabanc Inc., a wholly owned U.S. commercial finance subsidiary and a Director of Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., our U.S. broker/dealer entity. He is a graduate of Middlebury College (BA) and McGill University (MBA) and resides in Toronto with his wife, Lee Sevison and their son.
