Biography

Dr. Chris Durst serves as Vice President, Product Development at Procyrion. Dr. Chris Durst Co-Founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at Remind Technologies. He also served as a Principal at Fannin Partners. He serves as Director of Research & Development at Apaxis Medical. Chris is a medical device entrepreneur who has worked in roles ranging from product development to operations and management. Chris has worked with start-ups from founding to exit, where he secured institutional and venture capital, actively negotiated joint ventures, and executed asset sales to large device companies. Chris has extensive research experience, having conducted research in leading labs both in the US and abroad, where he developed enabling technologies for the treatment of heart valve disease. He has authored eight peer-reviewed manuscripts, one patent, and has given invited talks at national and international conferences. Chris holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering with highest honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology and earned his PhD in Bioengineering from Rice University.
