Biography

Mr. Stephen Buehler serves as Board Member at Wispr Systems. He served as Managing Director at The Blackstone Group. Since joining Blackstone in 2010, he has been involved in performing due diligence and monitoring procedures on the group's current and prospective underlying hedge fund investments from a business and financial perspective. In addition, he assists the Hedge Fund Solutions Group's senior management team in identifying and implementing strategic growth plans and best practices. Before joining Blackstone, he worked at Merrill Lynch as a Relationship Manager for the firm's hedge fund clients. Before that, he was a Senior Manager in KPMG's Assurance Practice. He received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Before this work, he was the Managing director of the Hedge Fund Solutions Group and COO of Blackstone Individual Investor Solutions. He was previously a relationship manager with Merrill Lynch in the greater New York City (NYC) area and senior manager of assurance and advisory services at KPMG LLP. He is now the founder and CEO of Astra Ventures. Astra Ventures is an alternative investment firm that invests in alternative assets - private equity, venture capital, real estate, direct lending, public markets, and more.
