Biography

Ms. Marlena Kaplan served as Managing Director at The Blackstone Group. Since joining in 2013, Ms. Kaplan has been involved in overseeing the fund accounting team and managing key third-party administrative relationships. Before joining Blackstone, Ms. Kaplan was Chief Financial Officer for Cantor Fitzgerald Investment Advisors, L.P. where she was responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the business. She also acted as Director for certain funds and assisted in the transition of a team from Cadogan Management, LLC where she served as the Chief Financial Officer from 2010 to 2012 and Senior Controller from 2007 to 2009. Ms. Kaplan has over 17 years of accounting, operations, and investor relations experience in the financial services industry including positions as a Controller and Vice President of Operations at Onex Capital Management, L.P, Controller at Moon Capital, Product Specialist and Relationship Manager at Robeco/Weiss, Peck & Greer. Ms. Kaplan is a Certified Public Accountant, has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and was an adjunct professor of Accountancy at Baruch College. Ms. Kaplan received an MBA degree from Baruch College, City University of New York and a BBA degree from Hofstra University.
