Biography

Mr. Joseph Lohrer serves as Senior Managing Director & Head of U.S. Retail Sales, Private Wealth Solutions at Blackstone. Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Lohrer worked with Legg Mason, Inc. where he was the Head of National Sales for the National Broker Dealer Channel overseeing the distribution of all Legg Mason products within wirehouses. The product vehicles included mutual funds, separately managed accounts, closed end funds, college savings plans, and alternative investments products. Joe began his career at Smith Barney in 1985 and held various home office and field positions prior to having his responsibilities expanded to National Sales Manager for Citi Asset Management. Mr. Lohrer graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
