Biography

Mr. Scott Sherman is a Co-Founder & serves as Managing Partner at Mesa Lane Capital Partners. Prior to Mesa Lane, He served as Chief Legal Officer and a Member of Management Committee at Tiger Management L.L.C., Julian Robertson's family office, from 2016 to 2023. Tiger managed an endowment style portfolio with a focus on providing seed capital to newly formed investment entities across asset classes. While at Tiger, in addition to performing due diligence on and structuring in excess of 80 investments across asset classes, including over 20 "seeding" transactions, He served on numerous LPAC's, formed a venture capital studio (Tiger Gene L.L.C.) and three related portfolio companies (NanoMosaic Inc. BrickBio Inc. and Encapsid Therapeutics Inc.), and served on Board of Directors of each Tiger Gene portfolio company. Before Tiger, He was a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group, where he worked from 2003-2016, overseeing due diligence and structuring for the firm's multi-manager investment portfolios, in addition to helping form the firm's mutual fund and seeding platforms. He began his career in the corporate department of Willkie Farr & Gallagher from 2001-2003 after obtaining his JD and MBA from Columbia University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Feeding Westchester, Purchase Community House and the Old Oaks Foundation.
