Biography

Mr. Jorge Moran served as Board Member at Earthport. He serves as Non-Executive Independent Director at Castellana Properties. He has brought his considerable insight into the global financial industry to benefit Earthport's growth strategy since May 2014. Most recently, he was CEO and President of Sovereign Bank and Santander's US country head; he also spent time as CEO of Santander's insurance and asset management business. Before that, he was COO and a Board Director at Abbey in the UK. Before Santander Group, he was a partner of AB Asesores, a leading brokerage firm in the Spanish market which was acquired by Morgan Stanley in 1999. Following that acquisition, he served as CEO of Morgan Stanley for Spain and Portugal. Heis a Harvard University Senior Fellow, a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston University and a member of the advisory board of Columbia University's School for International and Public Affairs. He was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Commercial Science by Bentley University and holds a BA in Economics and Business from the University of ICADE in Madrid.
