Biography

Mr. Nick Hartman serves as Partner, Internet/Consumer Team at Apax Partners. He serves as a Board Member at Trade Me. He also serves as a Chairman at Cadence Education and Nulo Pet Food. He served as Managing Partner, Operations at Rockbridge Growth Equity. He works broadly across the Rockbridge Growth Equity portfolio of companies to help grow and build their businesses by connecting resources of the Rockbridge team, key stakeholders, third parties, and the broader Rock Ventures and Quicken Loans Family of Companies. He will also help identify and execute new investments. Overall, he brings more than 15 years of experience in business strategy, operations, and digital investments. Before joining Rockbridge, he was an Operating Executive at the firm in New York where he focused on improving the performance of the firm's portfolio companies and executing diligence on potential investments as well as helping build the operating group to a team of 13 professionals. While at the firm, he helped execute several investments, including SouFun, Trader Corporation, Dealer.com, Auto Trader Group, Zhaopin, Answers Corporation, Zap, RFS, Idealista, Duck Creek, and BD Respiratory Solutions. He also served as a Board Director for Auto Trader Group (LSE: AUTO) and RFS Holdings. Previously, he held senior positions at Orbitz Worldwide Inc. in Chicago, where he was responsible for the P&L performance of the Car Rental, Cruise, Attractions, and Insurance business lines. He was also a consultant with Accenture Ltd., in Chicago, where his key clients included Best Buy Corp., Sears, Roebuck and Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sprint, and SBC Communications. He earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
