Biography

Mr. Mark Williams serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer at InvesTrust. In this role, Mark is responsible for directing the firm's investment strategy, including monitoring overall performance, developing long-range investment plans and strategies, overseeing securities investment operations, and identifying market trends and opportunities. Mark has over twenty-five years of experience in the investment and financial services industries. His career began as a security analyst and quickly progressed to portfolio management. After ten years managing multiple institutional portfolios, across multiple investment styles including value, core, and growth, he became the first director of research for a $35 billion dollar institutional money manager. In this role, Mark led a team of more than twenty security analysts in the identification and research of timely investment ideas for multiple client portfolios. Mark has also been responsible for leading several teams of investment professionals in the trust services industry. At each firm, he has led teams consisting of several portfolio managers responsible for billions of dollars in client assets. In these roles, Mark has been responsible for client service, team leadership, portfolio management, and client acquisition. Mark's academic achievements allow him to bring multiple disciplines to his work. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of the State of New York. His MBA and JD degrees were earned at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has been a CFA charter holder since 1993 and is currently a member of the Oklahoma and Chicago CFA Societies.
