Biography

Mr. Rodney McLauchlan serves as Chairman of Latin America at Global Strategic Associates. He served as President at Cygnet Financial Corp. He is also a Co-Founder and serves as Chairman at Legacy Trust Family Wealth Offices. He also serves as an Investment Committee Member at Golden Vision Capital Americas. He serves as a Board Member at Swyft Technology. He plays an active role in the company, working with clients on non-traditional investment opportunities such as private equity and international investments. He began his career in investment banking at Bankers Trust Company where he was an Executive Vice-President and a member of the bank's management committee. After Deutsche Bank acquired Bankers Trust, he was the Chief Executive Officer for Deutsche Bank in Latin America. He is currently a Senior Advisor to Shearman and Sterling, LLP, and Global Strategic Associates. In addition to serving on the board at Legacy Trust Company, Mr. McLauchlan is also a board member of Uptime Solutions, Swyft Mobile, and Perfin Investimentos; and a former member of the Supervisory Board of Global Collect and former Chairman and Trustee of The Bolles School as well as an emeritus board member of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. McLauchlan earned an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics from The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also holds an APC in Federal Taxation from New York University.
