Biography

Mr. Jack Wadsworth is a Co-Founder & serves as Partner & Managing Director at Manitou Ventures. He also served as Board Member at Blackstone Credit Systematic Strategies. Mr. Wadsworth was responsible for developing Morgan Stanley's Asia franchise. He ran Morgan Stanley's Asia business starting in 1987 operating first from Tokyo and then Hong Kong where he stayed until 2001. In 1995, His work in China led to Morgan Stanley becoming the only foreign investment bank with a major stake in a China-based investment bank, China International Capital Corporation. His leadership created strong relationships throughout Asia. In 2007, China Investment Corporation invested $5 billion in Morgan Stanley's equity and in 2008, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Japan's largest bank invested $9 billion. Wadsworth has also developed a venture capital business under the banner of Manitou Ventures. The success of Manitou Venture has led to the creation of Ceyuan Ventures, a China-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage technology companies.
