Biography

Mr. Dan Lisser serves as Principal & Senior Managing Director at Johnson Capital. Mr. Lisser has over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and is a founding member of Johnson Capital's New York City office. Daniel originates and places real estate capital, both debt and equity, for commercial and multifamily properties throughout the United States. In addition, Daniel is responsible for the firm's mortgage loan sales activity including oversight of real estate debt evaluations, marketing strategy, contract negotiations and sales. Prior to joining Johnson Capital in 2004, Lisser was a managing director at the Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, where he headed the firm's loan sales group and was involved in raising debt and equity for real estate projects throughout the United States. Preceding Ackman-Ziff, Daniel was a vice president at Secured Capital Corp., a Los Angeles based investment bank where he was co-head of the loan sales advisory group. Previously Mr. Lisser was a lender with Deutsche Bank and Chemical Bank and a consultant with Ernst & Young. In his career he has been responsible for the underwriting and origination of over $5 billion of commercial mortgages and $3 billion of commercial mortgage sales throughout the United States. Daniel is on the board of governors of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association and is a past-chair of the Real Estate Executives Division of the United Jewish Appeal of New York City. Mr. Lisser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Clarkson University and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University. He also completed Chemical Bank's credit training program. Daniel is a licensed securities representative (Series 7 & 63) and a licensed New York real estate salesperson.
