Biography

Mr. Paul Tourret serves as a Founding Partner at Base 10 Ventures. He serves as the Managing Director at GMO GlobalSign. He serves as Corporate Development Officer and Chairman at Ubisecure. He is also one of the founding board members of the GlobalSign group of companies. He is responsible for GlobalSign EMEA's enterprise and channel strategy, commercial direction, technology vision, and execution of product strategy. Before GlobalSign, he was co-founder and Managing Director for GeoTrust Europe - the European arm of GeoTrust Inc. Within 3 years he had grown the organization to over 30 staff, spanning Europe and Australia, and had achieved number one positions for SSL market share in several European countries. Before joining GeoTrust, he held the position of Managing Director with Comodo - a UK-based online security company. During his time at Comodo, he led the management team responsible for the launch of Comodo's SSL Certificate brand (InstantSSL) and other Comodo products. He has a very successful history of working in high technology companies, in particular the launch of high-value start-ups. In 2000 he founded Silex Communications - an organization focussing on the Wireless Communication and Internet Connectivity markets. Silex quickly became European Rep of the Year for Cambridge Silicon Radio, the world's leading Bluetooth semiconductor supplier, and followed a 1993 startup, where he as Sales Director, established the largest semiconductor component distributor for NEC in Europe. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Sheffield University, is a Chartered Engineer CEng MIEE, and was sponsored through university by GEC where he graduated in 1988. He is also the Board Member and Chief Development Officer at Ubisecure Solutions.
