Biography

Dr. Anita Jesionowski serves as Senior Director of Research Partnerships at Carnegie Mellon University. She focuses her efforts on new technologies within the Mellon College of Science and Carnegie Institute of Technology's departments of Chemical, Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering. She is involved in all aspects of the technology transfer process at Carnegie Mellon including licensing, material transfer agreements, new company formation and intellectual property management. Prior to joining CTTEC, she was a research scientist at Thar Technologies, Inc., an international leader in supercritical fluid technology and equipment. At Thar, she worked on new process design and optimization for electronics cooling applications. She also managed Thar's intellectual property portfolio and worked to develop and assess new technologies for the company. Her duties at Thar also included the research and drafting of grant proposals. She received her BS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. Her support's technology originating from Biomedical Engineering (BME), Chemical Engineering (ChemE), Civil/Environmental Engineering (CEE), Engineering and Public Policy (EPP), Information Networking Institute (INI), Institute for Complex Engineered Systems (ICES), Material Science & Engineering (MSE), and Mechanical Engineering (MechE).
