Biography

Mr. Christopher Handy serves as Partner and Head of West Midlands at LDC. He also serves as Board Member at ELE Advanced Technologies, Precision Micro and Star Live. He also served as a Board Member at Smh Fleet Solutions and Eley. He brings over 20 years of industrial experience at Rolls-Royce in both senior operational and financial roles where he spent five years as CFO of the energy division, a £1bn revenue business and prior to that five years as CFO of the Gas Turbines Services division (revenue £1.6bn), a key part of the aerospace aftermarket supply chain. In these roles, Chris was also a key board member of several joint ventures and subsidiaries. Prior to becoming CFO, Chris led the in-house M&A team of Rolls Royce where he was responsible for executing acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures, leading and managing transactions with international trade acquirers and notably the disposal of Vickers Turbine Components to private equity. Most recently, he led the disposal of Rolls-Royce's energy business to Siemens for £785m together with the negotiation of a 25-year technology licensing agreement worth £200m. Before joining Rolls-Royce Chris spent ten years with PwC where he qualified as a chartered accountant in Birmingham moving to lead the Corporate Advisory team in the East Midlands where he was responsible for growing their regional presence.
