M. Sean Quasem General Information

Biography

Mr. M. Sean Quasem served as Partner at Parallax Capital Partners. He joined GlassRatner Advisory and Capital Group in October 2013 and brings 25 years of professional experience to the firm. He has been an investment banker for the past 13 years, providing sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and capital raise advisory services to public and private company clients in various industries. Prior to joining GlassRatner as Senior Manager, he was a Vice President at the investment banking firm of D. A. Davidson & Co. (and previously McGladrey Capital Markets LLC), where he was a senior banker in the Infrastructure practice group and focused on businesses in the AEC (architecture, engineering and construction), materials and mining, construction and mining equipment, and water and wastewater industries. In addition to the infrastructure sector, Mr. Quasem advised many domestic and international private and public company clients in consumer products, industrial manufacturing, energy services, aerospace & defense and government services industries. He utilizes his technical background to take detailed oriented approaches in conducting strategic and financial analysis, marketing, negotiations, deal structuring and problem solving functions. Mr. Quasem is an expert in deal execution, and has closed 21 domestic and five international M&A/recapitalization transactions with more than $700 million in aggregate value. Before coming into investment banking, Mr. Quasem worked as an engineer for 12 years with Earth Tech, Inc. (was acquired by AECOM) and Church Engineering, Inc. (was acquired by PBS&J, and now a part of W. S. Atkins), where he led engineering teams in project feasibility analysis, design development and preparation of construction documents in the solid waste and land development fields, and managed construction quality assurance (CQA) projects. Mr. Quasem received a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in management and finance from the University of California Irvine, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He holds the FINRA series 7, 63 and 79 securities licenses, and is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil PE) in the state of California. He is member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
