Biography

Mr. Rajiv Malhotra serves as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director, Corporate Affairs at PTC India. Previously, he served as Non-Executive Director at Indian Energy Exchange. He is a Graduate in Engineering and alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow has been working as Executive Director & Chief Risk Officer, PTC India Ltd. (PTC) since June, 2013. PTC (formerly the Power Trading Corporation of India Ltd.) is the first entity to do power trades in India, and after having successfully developed a bulk market for traded power in India, has diversified into broader solution areas focusing on energy and related infrastructure. Before joining PTC, he was the Chief Operating Officer, Athena Energy Ventures Pvt. Ltd. (AEVPL), a joint venture of AIP Power Pvt. Ltd. (formerly known as Athena Infraprojects Pvt. Ltd.), IDFC and PTC India Limited. Prior to this, he has held the position of Sr. Vice President (Business & Corporate Development) at Energy Infratech Pvt. Ltd., a project engineering and management services company, and Vice President at PTC. He started his career with NTPC, a Maharatna Company, and served in various capacities. With more than 23 years of experience in the utility and energy sector, he has a broad domain of knowledge and his areas of expertise include tariff and risk analysis, regulatory and legal matters, institutional development and investor and media relations.
