Biography

Mr. Nathan Laurell serves as Managing Partner at New Frontier Holdings. He also serves as Board Member at Acumen Fund, BrookPark Holdings, and IncubEx. He is a Co-Founder and serves as the Director at Field + Farmer. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Here Holdings (a leader in the local food movement), chairman of ampCNG (a renewable-energy company), and a general partner at R^2 (a full-service real estate firm). He has been an entrepreneur since forming TECHnacity (a software developer) while in college. He is a Co-Founder and serves as a Board Member at Amp Americas II. He co-founded and served as a Board Member at Energy. me. He is the Founder and serves as Managing Partner of New Frontier Holdings, a holding company focused on the energy and agriculture markets. He currently sits on the AMP Americas, Carbon Solutions Group, and Energy. me. Before AMP, he was a principal and director of Infinium Capital Management, a proprietary trading firm with offices in Chicago, New York, and London. He managed the market-making business in addition to starting Infinium's energy business, which soon became a leader in the space. Infinium was named one of the top 20 firms to work for in Chicago and is widely recognized as a leader in the proprietary trading space. He has been an entrepreneur since forming his first business in college, a company that built software prototypes for clients with unique intellectual property, many of whom hold patents on business processes. He holds a BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Chicago Management Institute Certificate from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business, and has completed the Executive Seminar at the Aspen Institute. He is working through the Basic Program at the University of Chicago. He has been recognized by the Council on Global Affairs as an emerging leader and by Crain's 40 Under 40.
