Biography
Mr. Larry Barels serves as Chairman at Aqueos. Mr. Barels served as Chief Executive Officer at Pacific Capital Resources. He is a serial entrepreneur who has been a founder and significant contributor to the development of numerous rapidly developing companies.. He previously the founder and CEO of Wavefront Technologies, a developer of software for the computer-aided design and animation marketplace. Mr. Barels successfully navigated Wavefront from startup in 1983, through entry into the public market in 1994, into one of the ten most successful public offerings of that year. Wavefront was purchased by market leader, Silicon Graphics in 1995. In 1997, Mr. Barels became the founding shareholder and Chairman of the Board of Software.com and led that company through various strategic financing culminating with a billion-dollar IPO in 2000. Shortly thereafter, Software.com merged with Phone.com becoming, Openwave Systems (NASDAQ: OPWV). He also co-founded Catalyst Mobile and serves as its Chairman.
