Biography

Ms. Deborah Benton serves as Angel Investor at Deborah Benton. She was the Founding Partner & served as the Managing Director at Kaktus Capital. She was a Board Member at TomboyX. She served as a Senior Consultant at Mitchell Madison Group. She leads the consumer and retail practice. She also served as Board Member at The Bouqs. She brings 15 years of both consulting and operational experience with a strong focus on the eCommerce and retail businesses. She assists clients in a wide array of areas including retail strategy, supply chain management, cost reduction and control, organizational design and operational scaling. Prior to MMG, she has held a number of senior-level operating roles including President and Chief Operating Officer of Nasty Gal, a fast-growing women's fashion retailer. Before that, she was the Chief Operating Officer of ShoeDazzle, an innovative online women's fashion footwear company whose revenue grew from launch to almost $100M in just a few years. Her prior job was Executive Vice President, Operations and Inside Sales, for Teleflora, a leading provider of consumer and florist products and services. She is a returning consultant, having launched her career at Mitchell Madison Group where she assisted a number of Fortune 500 customers in areas of sales effectiveness, operational efficiencies, and cost reduction. She holds both an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and an MBA from Queen's University, Canada. She also served as a Partner at Breakwater Management.
