Biography

Mr. Richard Viton serves as Managing Director at Samuel A. Ramirez & Company. Mr. Viton serves as a Partner and Investment Committee Member at IA Capital Group. he is the Co-Founder also serves as General Partner at Energy Capital Ventures. He joined IA Capital Group in 2008 and focuses on the insurance industry. He is a member of its investment committee and is a Director of Homeowners of America Holding Corporation, Authentic4D, Omnidian, and Integriant. He also serves as a Board Member at Afficiency. He served as a Board Member at Tomorrow, He had a 10+ year relationship as an advisor to IA Capital and its portfolio companies before joining in 2008. With over 25 years of financial services experience as a senior-level investment banker and previously in a corporate finance role, he has significant industry relationships and extensive transaction execution experience. He has served as a strategic advisor to many of the largest US and global insurers, including MetLife, Prudential, Nationwide, The Hartford, SwissRe, Fortis, and Prudential plc, among others. He specialized in the insurance sector with particular strength in its cross-over with other financial services sectors including asset management, transaction processing, finance companies, and banking. He also serves as an investment banker at Ramirez & Co., the largest Hispanic-owned investment bank. He was most recently a Managing Director in FIG at Credit Suisse from 2005 to 2007 and at UBS from 1997 to 2005. At UBS, he completed over 150 financing and merger and acquisition transactions totaling over $60 billion. He holds a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
