Biography

Mr. Héctor Cateriano serves as Managing Partner, Chief Executive Officer and Investment Committee Member at MAS Equity Partners. He Chaired the Colombian Association of Private Equity Funds -ColCapital-, and is or has been a member of the boards of Grupo IGA, Kokoriko, Promotora Médica Las Américas, Sonría, Dekel and Pelpak. More than 20 years of experience in private equity in emerging markets, mainly in Latin America. With private equity firm SEAF, he was one of the early promoters of the Colombian private equity industry and took part in the design of the current regulatory framework for the industry. Since 2006, he led the investment efforts of the first enterprise private equity fund in Colombia, Fondo Transandino Colombia (FTC), where he completed the investment cycle and has already returned more than 100% of invested capital to local investors. He has been a member of the board of directors and board committees of many of MEP's portfolio companies. He had previously served as Director for SEAF's India Growth Fund and SEAF's India International Growth Fund. He has also served as Director of Estonia of SEAF's Baltic Small Equity Fund (BSEF). He attained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Santa María and a Master of Business Administration from ESAN Business School, both in Peru. He served as a Board Member at PMLA. He served as Board Member at Europa América Laboratorios.
