Biography

Mr. Ted Lu serves as Founder & Chief Investment Officer at Blackfield Capital Management. He served as Managing Director at Tower Three Partners. His key role is to seek out credit opportunities, monitor our portfolio companies, and share his vision on the management of their performance. He has over 17 years of experience across a variety of fields including special situations, distressed investing, and private equity, and has led or served on the steering committee for several credits. He also served as a Portfolio Manager, at the Special Opportunities Fund at AllianceBernstein. Prior to joining Tower Three, he served as a senior operating consultant to a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group called Paradigm Precision. While at Paradigm Precision, he successfully restructured and turned around the Canadian manufacturing business and worked with senior management on various other cost initiatives and operational performance improvements across all sites. He started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Berkeley with a major in Economics.
