Biography

Ms. Mary Lackey serves as Vice President and Secretary to the Board of Regents at University of the Pacific. She serves as the principal support for the University's appointed Board of Regents. She also has responsibility for Legal Affairs and for Sustainability, and she is responsible for the compilation and management of University Policies. She is a member of the University's Cabinet. Before assuming this position in 2010, she served as Executive Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs for the University's McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, where she managed nonacademic operations, including finance, buildings and grounds, IT, human resources, security, food service, and auxiliary enterprises. She was also a major contributor in strategy and development activities, and coordinated much of the school's outreach activities within the local community. She is a Fellow of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) Mountain Valley Chapter, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Great Valley Chapter of ALF. She serves on the Board of the Sacramento Metro Chamber, and served two terms as the Vice Chairman of the Oak Park Redevelopment Advisory Committee, a City Council appointment. Prior to Pacific and McGeorge, Lackey was a Corporate Vice President with Motorola, where she led a global account team, led the global trade policy program, and created and managed a national state government relations program. She is a graduate of Leadership Florida and Leadership Broward County (in Florida) and held high level leadership positions in public advisory committees and private trade associations during her time in Florida and/or Washington, DC. She is a member of the International Women's Forum and a past board member of IWF Northern California. Mary Lou attended Duke University, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Florida, and has a Masters in Public Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.
