Biography

Mr. Scott Barry served as Mortgage Loan Officer & Intake Specialist at Boston Community Capital. He joined Boston Community Capital in 2014. He is a licensed mortgage loan officer as well as an intake specialist for the SUN Initiative. In this capacity, he assesses applications for home loans for families who wish to repurchase their home through the SUN Initiative. He also conducts client intake phone calls and helps to schedule prequalification and loan application appointments. His Massachusetts mortgage loan officer license number is NMLS #1210010. Prior to joining BCC, he worked at a law firm in Connecticut which specialized in mortgage transactions. Through this position, he gained extensive knowledge of various types of mortgages, foreclosure alternatives provided by the lenders, as well as the foreclosure process. He also came to understand the limitations that banks have when attempting to modify mortgages. Mr. Scott is a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Connecticut, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal justice and was an active executive board member of the campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Through this experience he developed an appreciation for affordable housing and a desire to work with local communities to ensure that there are housing options available to all people.
