Biography

Mr. Michael Skelly serves as Chief Financial Officer at Firstup. He served as Chief Financial Officer at Abacus Data Systems. He served as Chief Financial Officer at UpWind Solutions. He brings to AbacusNext more than 20 years of professional experience covering corporate finance, an extensive background in financial planning and operations, management and strategy, mergers and acquisitions and operations management. He is responsible for the management of AbacusNext financial activities, including overall responsibility for the organization, accounting, financial planning & analysis. Prior to joining AbacusNext, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Trio Health, a data firm that provides an extensive database platform to the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to his time at Trio Health, he was Chief Financial Officer at UpWind Solutions, backed by KPCB, BP Ventures and Mission Point. Before Upwind Solutions, he served as SVP of Finance at The Active Network. During his tenure at The Active Network, he oversaw substantial growth including the closure of 30 acquisitions, an IPO of $165 million and sale to private equity firm Vista Equity Partners. He began his career in finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers, before becoming a Senior Associate at Enterprise Partners Venture Capital. He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Iowa.
