Joanna Saba MD General Information

Biography

Ms. Joanna Saba served as Medical Director, Primary Care Clinical Innovation at WellDoc. She received her B.A. in literature at the University of California in San Diego, and her M.D. degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. While at Hahnemann, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was the recipient of the Janet M. Glasgow award for overall achievement. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore, MD, where she also served as Chief Resident. After graduation, Dr. Saba joined a private practice, of which she eventually became sole owner and which developed into one of the largest privately owned primary care practices in the area. In 2011, after over a decade of direct patient care, she sold her practice and joined WellDoc's Clinical Innovation Team as the Director for Primary Care. Dr. Saba is involved in the creation and oversight of clinical content for the WellDoc platform.
