Veronique Laury General Information

Biography

Ms. Veronique Laury serves as Board Member & Member of the Audit and Nominations Committees at British American Tobacco. She serves as Board Member, Member of Audit Committee and Chairwoman of Sustainability Committee at Sodexo. After graduating from Sciences Po in 1988, she joined Leroy Merlin and took over various functions in the marketing and sales field for about 15 years. In 2003, she joined Kingfisher, the European giant do-it-yourself retailer and parent company of B&Q, Brico Dépôt, Castorama and Screwfix. She was in charge of the Sales and Marketing Department of Castorama (France) and later of B&Q (UK) before being named Head of Group Sales and Marketing Strategy, taking over the responsibility of group purchasing and brand development. In 2013, she became Chief Executive Officer of Castorama France. From September 2014 to September 2019, she was Chief Executive Officer of Kingfisher plc, listed in the FTSE 100 (UK).
