Biography

Mr. Sergey Bazhanov served as President and Chairman at International Bank of Saint Petersburg. He was born in 1954 in Leningrad. In 1976, he graduated from Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute and from the Academy of National Economy under Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1991. Doctor of Economics. During 1976-1986, he was the chairman of the trade union committee of Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute. During 1987-1992, he was Deputy General Director of Kontaktor plant. During 1992-1996, he was Senior Vice-President, Member of the Board, Head of Saint-Petersburg Regional Centre of Inkombank Joint Stock Bank. During 1996-1999, he was First Vice President, Chairman of the Board of Baltoneksimbank. During 1999-2008, he was President of IBSP Bank (International Bank of Saint-Petersburg). During 2008-2013, he was Representative of Ulyanovsk region to the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. In August 2013, he returned to the position of President of IBSP Bank.
