Biography

Mr. Eugenio Calabuig is the Founder of Fomento Urbano de Castellón. He studied at the Jesuits in Valencia, has a degree in Economics from the University of Valencia and an MBA in Business Administration and Management from IESE in Barcelona. Eugenio Calabuig began his professional career in the family business FACSA (Fomento Agrícola de Castellón) , founded by his grandfather, Enrique Gimeno, in 1873 and dedicated to the integral management of that city's water. In 1996 Eugenio Calabuig founded Fomento Urbano de Castellón (FUCSA) , a company of which he is President and whose activity is focused on urban planning, land management and housing development. Eugenio Calabuig joined the shareholders of the Aguas de Valencia Group in 1999, is a member of the Board of Directors and was later appointed Vice President. In 2007, he was elected President of Grupo Aguas. The arrival of Eugenio Calabuig to the presidency of the company has meant the definitive shareholding stability of what is today one of the first companies with Spanish capital specializing in the water sector. In recent years, the expansion of the company throughout Spain, the commitment to technological innovation and internationalization stand out. In addition, Eugenio Calabuig is the president of the Aguas de Valencia Foundation, dedicated to environmental, cultural, social and sports activities.
