Biography

Mr. William Davidson serves as Chief Operating Officer at Amionx. He served as General Partner at Frost Data Capital. Davidson has more than 35 years of experience in leading technical sales, marketing, operations and general management roles in the telecommunications and semiconductor industries. Prior to Amionx, William F. Davidson Jr. (Bill) was the founder and CEO of the Sapienter Group. The Sapienter Group is an advisory firm that specializes in business strategy, marketing, public relations and investor relations. Prior to Frost Data Capital, Davidson was senior vice president and chief administrative officer (CAO) of GLOBALFOUNDRIES, leading the Human Resources, IT, Corporate Marketing and Communications, Government Relations, Risk Management, Sustainability and Real Estate organizations. He aligned global processes, systems and day-to-day operating focus across the CAO teams. He also ensured the consistent policies, practices and internal controls necessary to enable effective execution and compliance with regulatory requirements were implemented. Davidson was instrumental in the successful integration of more than 5,000 employees associated with GLOBALFOUNDRIES acquisition of IBM's semiconductor operations. Prior to GLOBALFOUNDRIES, he served in a dual role as senior vice president, strategy and operations and senior vice president, investor relations at Qualcomm, Inc. In these roles, Davidson oversaw reporting and operations, executed on strategic global business initiatives, for Qualcomm's international offices. Under his leadership, the Qualcomm investor relations efforts were regularly recognized by analysts and shareholders as among the top in their sector and received numerous awards during his tenure. Davidson led Qualcomm's global marketing efforts for more than seven years during his 13 years at Qualcomm. He moved into the role during a time of unprecedented legal attack on the Company and immediately formed relationships with the global media. He was the primary spokesperson for the financial community and the press as well as industry analysts. Davidson also spent 13 years at Bell Atlantic where he gained substantial experience in the wireline business at New Jersey Bell, as well as serving as vice president of wireless data sales and marketing for Bell Atlantic Mobile. Davidson was a pioneer in the field of mobile data, and he is recognized as an expert in mobile communications. Davidson also served as vice president of commercial sales operations for GE Capital's telecommunications financial services division. Davidson was one of the early board members of the Wireless Data Forum, which became the Wireless Internet Caucus within CTIA - The Wireless Association. He has also served on the boards of CONNECT and CommNexus. He currently serves on the boards of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, The San Diego chapter of Make-A-Wish, Chelsea's Light Foundation, The Rancho Santa Fe Foundation and is board chair of The Institute for Communications Technology Management at the University of Southern California. Davidson is regularly quoted in business and industry publications and has appeared on CNBC and The Weekly Business Report.
