Biography

Mr. Joseph Lucas served as Chairman, President & Partner and a Member of the Management, Compensation and Dev Steering Committee at Capstone Investment Advisors. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Stark Investments and S/W Trading. oe Lucas has served as the President of Capstone since 2011 and Chief Operating Officer from 2011-2019. Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Lucas was Chief Financial Officer of Stark Investments ("Stark") from 1994 through 2010. At Stark, he was responsible for global financial operations which included overseeing corporate accounting, fund accounting, fair value processes, structured product controls, control functions for back, front and middle office, as well as counterparty financing and relationship management. Mr. Lucas also resided on Stark's Executive Committee responsible for day-to-day management of the business. Mr. Lucas began his career as a regulatory auditor on the Chicago Board of Trade where he was responsible for auditing the compliance and financial aspects of member clearing firms. Mr. Lucas then became the Chief Financial Officer for S/W Trading, at the time, one of the largest proprietary option trading and clearing firms in the U.S. Mr. Lucas is a Partner and a member of the Management, Compensation and Dev Steering Committees. Mr. Lucas has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Accounting from Loyola University.
