Mr. Anish Patel is the Partner and serves as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director at Yamaha Motor Ventures & Laboratory Silicon Valley. He also serves as a Board member at RIOS Intelligent Machines. He also serves as a Board Observer at Veniam. He also serves as a Board Member at Siren Marine. He also serves as a Board Member at Canvass AI. He co-founded and served as a General Partner at Blue Victor Capital. He served as Senior Investment Director at SAIC Capital. He serves as a Board Member of Safari and SDCmaterials. He primarily focuses on technologies related to autonomous vehicles, new business models, financial technology, and big data / artificial intelligence. Before SAIC Capital, he was an Investment Manager at General Motors Ventures for four years. At GM Ventures he led 9 investments and was responsible for 10 portfolio companies. He invested in early and growth-stage companies and startups focused on autonomous vehicles, infotainment, SAAS, automotive software, and cleantech. He joined GM in May 2005 upon graduating from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in finance and economics and is currently pursuing his master of business administration. He has held various positions in GM's Corporate Risk Management and Corporate Strategy & Business Development and has worked on several key assignments, most notably Enterprise Risk Management and several corporate restructuring initiatives.
