Biography

Mr. Brooks Blake served as Investment Director and Partner, Investments at Bain Capital. He is a member of Verdis' Investment Committee. Brooks joined Verdis in May 2011, contributing extensive real estate and finance experience in both the United States and emerging markets. Prior to joining Verdis, he served as Executive Director - Development at Xander Advisors (2009-2011), a real estate private equity fund in New Delhi, India (total equity under management was $1.7 billion). At Xander, he managed a development portfolio of over 30 million square feet of real estate throughout India. Prior to Xander, Brooks served in multiple development roles at The JBG Companies (2003-2009), a real estate developer managing a series of private equity funds in the greater Washington, DC area (total equity under management was $3.7 billion). Most recently at JBG, Brooks served as an Executive Development Officer and was responsible for a development portfolio of mixed-use, office, hotel, retail, and multi-family projects. Earlier in his career, he held positions at JER Partners (2002), Winslow Partners (1998-2000), and Morgan Stanley (1996-1998).
