Mouhamadou Niang General Information

Biography

Mr. Mouhamadou Niang served as Managing Director, Africa at Meridiam Infrastructure. He was previously director for all private sector operations - among which infrastructure - for the African Development Bank in Tunis. In that position, Mouhamadou was responsible for the management of a team of experts who sourced and structured investments in the infrastructure, oil and gas, mining, health and education sectors across the entire continent of Africa. He closely worked with regulators and finance ministries and coordinated technical, financial and legal advisers, engineering firms and other industry specialists. Prior to his most recent position, Mouhamadou was a Senior Structured Finance Specialist and Acting Head of the Structured Finance Unit at the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah where he led a wide variety of projects globally, including a toll road project in Malaysia, a gas pipeline in Indonesia, and advised on an airport and port in Gabon. Mouhamadou is a graduate of Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Clermont Ferrand and holds a Master's of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in the United States.
