Biography

Dr. Tara Sharif serves as Managing Director at ThinkEquity. Dr. Tara Sharif served as Managing Director at Crito Capital. She served as Managing Director, HealthCare at WestPark Capital. She joined Westpark Capital in July 2011, with a focus on public and private financing as well as advisory services for mid/small-market cap healthcare & life sciences companies. Tara is an industry professional with 11 years of developmental & cell biology research and mentoring at Cornell Medical College and City University of New York, and 12 years of investment banking and executive management at Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance LLP, Maxim Group LLC, ECI Biotech, Inc., and Newbridge Securities. As a healthcare investment banker, she participated in a number of domestic and cross-border transactions exceeding $270 million. Dr. Sharif has also served as a financial and strategic consultant to a number of biotechnology corporations and with the Alliance for Science and Technology Development team of Johns Hopkins University Medical Center. Dr. Sharif holds an M.B.A. in Finance from Fordham University (Beta Gamma Sigma and Omicron Delta Epsilon) and a Ph.D. in Developmental and Cellular Biology from Southern Illinois University.
