Biography

Mr. David Austin serves as Partner at HOOPP Capital Partners. Prior to joining HOOPP, Mr. Austin was a Managing Director and member of the Management Committee of Northleaf Capital Partners, a private equity and infrastructure investment firm. He he focuses on fund investments, co-investments and direct equity and debt investments. Prior to joining HOOPP, he was a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Northleaf Capital Partners, a global private equity and infrastructure manager and advisor based in Toronto. Previously, he was a Partner at Voorheis & Co., a shareholder advisory and investment firm, and an investment banker at BMO Capital Markets. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University and a BA (Law) and Masters (Law and Economics) from Oxford University where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
