Biography

Mr. Sankar Krishnan serves as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal. He has served clients across the retail, manufacturing, construction, facility management, telecom and information technology sectors. Mr. Krishnan most recently served as Interim Managing Director of Dura-Line India, a maker of high density poly ethylene (HDPE) duct pipes. Previously, he served as Restructuring Adviser to a large European apparel maker and retailer and a financial and operations adviser to Shop Direct Group, one of the largest online retailer based in U.K., and as CEO of OCM India, one of the largest worsted wool fabric manufacturers in India. Mr. Krishnan advised a large Kuwait investment house on their investments in real estate, banks, airlines and the energy sector. Prior to this, he acted as financial adviser to a drug wholesale-and-retail company based in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Krishnan also served as CRO for Bridge Information Systems, a worldwide distributor of financial information, where he implemented billing and collection procedures to improve working capital and led a team of professionals on the mergers and acquisitions process to sell all of Bridge's assets. He also acted as financial adviser to Grand Union, a supermarket chain and served as restructuring adviser to Kasper ASL Ltd., an apparel maker.
