Biography

Mr. Adam Smith served as Operating Partner at Medina Capital. He also served as an Advisor of Animusoft. He has more than 14 years of experience as a legal executive with expertise in managing global legal affairs, corporate securities, technology contracting, and mergers and acquisitions. From November 2006 to April 2012, Mr. Smith served as the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary of Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a Verizon Company, an industry leader in enterprise class IT infrastructure services in the commercial and federal markets. While at Terremark, Mr. Smith was responsible for the global legal affairs including securities regulation, mergers & acquisitions, financings, vendor and customer contracting, as well as providing advice to senior management on a wide range of legal issues relating to Terremark's products and services. He also gained federal government experience in internships with the Department of State (U.S. Embassy/Santiago, Chile), the U.S. House of Representatives International Relations Committee, as well as honors legal internships with the Office of the Senior Deputy Counsel for International Affairs & Intelligence at the Department of Defense, and in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General in the Executive Office of National Security at the Department of Justice. He was also an official Observer for the Electoral Observation Mission to Panama for the 1999 local, provincial, and presidential elections in Panama, and the 1998 Presidential election in Venezuela.
