Biography

Mr. Andrew Fischer is a Co-Founder and serves as a Managing Partner at Rubicon Partners. He serves as a Board Member at Consolidated Timber Holdings. He served as a Board Member at Cerdic Foundries, XL Precision Technologies, Park Sheet Metal Company, Fibron, and Stylex Auto Products. He is a German national and was raised in continental Europe and the USA. He read biochemistry at Cambridge, where he was a Scholar and a Blue. After joining Bain & Co. in London, he gained an MBA in Finance with distinction from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He then joined the European Buy-in Fund of Apax Partners, where he held several senior line positions in investee companies. One of the co-founders of Rubicon Partners, he was instrumental in sourcing our initial investment. He also established the financial control and reporting systems through which we still operate our companies today. He divides his time between transaction origination and serving as a lead or support partner for some portfolio companies. He developed and is also responsible for our activities in China. He was for four years Chairman of Mowgli, a charity that mentors entrepreneurs in the Middle East.
