Biography

Dr. Jay Price is a Co-Founder and serves as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Southern Veterinary Partners. He is a veterinarian and the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Veterinary Partners. He served as Operating Partner at Shore Capital Partners. He previously acquired Oak View Animal Hospital, Patton Chapel Animal Clinic, and Williams Animal Hospital. Dr. Price says he first found his love of animal care while spending summers on his grandparents' farm helping to tend and care for its many animals. His areas of particular professional interest include oncology, internal medicine, surgery and dermatology. He is also a member of the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and a board member of the Hope 4 Paws Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping pet owners afford treatment of life-threatening illnesses for their pets. Additionally, Dr. Price is the veterinary advisor for both the Adopt-A-Golden Foundation in Birmingham, AL as well as the Alabama Boston Terrier/French Bulldog Rescue. Dr. Price received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University and his BS in Zoology at Auburn University as well. He was named 2016 Young Alumni of the Year by Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He serves as Board Member at Mission Veterinary Partners. He also serves as Board Member at Southern Orthodontic Partners.
