Biography

Ms. Stephanie Smith serves as Chief Operating Officer at Greencastle. She serves as Chief Operating Officer at Eolian. She served as Chief Operating Officer at Sol Systems. In her role as COO, Ms. Smith plays a pivotal role in the strategic development and expansion of the Sol Systems team, which has grown more than threefold in the last three years. She opened Sol Systems' west coast office in San Francisco in January 2015 and also heads up the company's efforts there. Before joining Sol Systems, Ms. Smith served as a Senior Associate of the Energy Infrastructure, Climate, and Technology practice at Cooley LLP, where she led project development and project finance transactions in the renewable energy sector. Ms. Smith received her J.D., cum laude, in 2002 from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where she was the editor of the Corporate Counsel Symposium, a member of SMU Law Review, and a Hatton W. Sumners Scholar. She received her B.S., magna cum laude, in Financial Planning from Texas Tech University in 1999, where she was a Presidential Scholar. Ms. Smith was named a finalist in 2014 for the Clean Energy Education and Empowerment (C3E) Award given to mid-career women for outstanding leadership and achievement in clean energy. She has also been recognized by BTI Consulting Group, winning the 2012 Client Service All-Star Award, and by Texas Tech University's College of Human Sciences, winning its 2009 New Achiever Award.
