Biography

Mr. Ian Burgess serves as Co-Founding Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Warwick Capital Partners. Mr. Burgess also serves as a Board Member at Eden Living. Before co-founding Warwick, Mr. Burgess was jointly responsible for the credit strategy at Polygon from October 2006 to March 2009. Prior to joining Polygon, Mr. Burgess was a partner and European head of MatlinPatterson, a private equity firm, whose mandate is to invest in and take control of companies. MatlinPatterson was a 2001 buy-out of the CSFB proprietary special situations group, where Mr. Burgess was responsible for European investments, having joined in 1997 from a similar role at WestLB. Upon leaving CSFB Mr. Burgess opened and established MatlinPatterson's London office. Mr. Burgess started his career in 1984 as a chartered accountant at Arthur Andersen, followed by six years, from 1987, as an investment banker at Samuel Montagu, including two in Italy.
