Biography

Mr. Stephen Case served as Managing Director at Emerald Development Managers. He has worked with Mr. Cohen since 1989, was the lead outside counsel for C&C since its founding and joined C&C in 2005. He is a Member of the Board of Managers of Sierra AFI LLC, the parent of Sierra Auto Finance LLC. Mr. Case was a senior partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell, which he joined in 1968 and where he became a partner in 1975. At Davis Polk, he specialized in complex corporate situations, restructuring, bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions, bank loans and debt indentures. Mr. Case holds law and bachelor's degrees from Columbia University. Mr. Case is a former member of the boards of trustees of Columbia University and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Mr. Case also served for nearly two years as Chairman of the Board of Motors Liquidation Company (formerly General Motors Corporation) and oversaw the wind down of the assets that it retained after the transfer of on-going assets to the new General Motors that received government assistance. In his years in law practice, Mr. Case was lead counsel representing J.P. Morgan for over four billion dollars of syndicated purchases by various entities of auto and truck loans originated by Ford Motor Credit Company.
