Biography

Mr. Matthew Steffen serves as Managing Director at Invision Capital. He brings over 20 years of broad-based finance experience to the Partnership. As a Principal at Invision Capital, Mr. Steffen is responsible for performing extensive due diligence in connection with numerous strategic acquisitions, organizational integrations, divestitures, and efficiency initiatives. In addition, Mr Steffen establishes effective financial reporting and budgeting systems, creates strong internal control environments, and implements performance measurements that ensure high levels of performance for the fund. Prior to joining Invision, he was a Senior Manager for Ernst & Young LLP. In his role, he was responsible for providing financial advisory services to a variety of companies typically in a transactional environment such as restructuring, refinancing, acquisition, or disposition. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Steffen was a Vice President at Heller Financial, Inc. In his role he was responsible for asset-based and cash-flow loan underwritings, analyzing industry trends and preparing financial models to determine cash flow needs and collateral position. Mr. Castillo and Mr. Steffen's business relationship began 22 years ago at KPMG Peat Marwick. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
