Biography

Mr. Daniel Lidawer served as Chief Operating Officer at Cresset Capital Management. He has over thirty years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Prior to Cresset Wealth Advisors, Dan was a co-founder of HighTower Advisors, a hybrid Registered Investment Advisor and Broker Dealer. As a Managing Director and President of HighTower Advisors and HighTower Securities, he facilitated the company's growth over nine years to over $40 billion in assets under supervision, 450 employees across 57 offices in 26 states. Dan developed the company platform and structured transactions to bring advisors and assets on the platform. Before HighTower, Dan was a Partner at William Blair & Company in Chicago, and an Officer at Salomon Brothers and Lazard in New York. While at these investment banks, he ran a Private Investor Department with 58 producers, started and ran a strategic and operational planning department and completed investment banking transactions. Prior to his MBA, he was a CPA with Deloitte. Dan graduated with a BSE from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an MBA from The University of Chicago. Dan is a FINRA arbitrator and is a past chairperson and board member of the Securities Industry Association - Central States Division. He currently serves on the Highland Park CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and for seven years was on the Highland Park Public Library Board of Trustees. Dan enjoys mountain climbing, triathlons, ultra-marathons, long distance biking and weight training.
