Biography

Ms. Yvonne Campos is the Founder & serves as President of Next Act Fund. She is a nationally recognized businesswoman, facilitator, speaker, entrepreneur, and angel investor. In 2016, Yvonne founded Next Act Fund, the first women-focused angel fund in the region, to help women grow their personal wealth by investing in early-stage, women-owned/led companies, thus positively impacting women, the region, and the nation. Her career includes founding Campos Inc., which she grew into Pittsburgh's premier marketing research company. After selling Campos Inc. in 2013, She identified an opportunity to support other women entrepreneurs and investors and created the Next Act Fund. Under her leadership, Next Act Fund rapidly grew its membership of accomplished, visionary women, creating an entirely new investor group of first-time women angel investors. To date, Next Act Fund has invested nearly $3MM in women-owned/-led businesses, several of which have exited or done an IPO. She was recently honored by the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association with a 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award. In September 2021, she was named to Forbes Magazine's 50 Over 50 list of Investors and Financial Leaders, produced in partnership with Mika Brzezinski's Know Your Value initiative. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association. She is a CEO Diamond Award recipient, presented by The Pittsburgh Business Times in recognition of her business leadership and civic engagement. She was also recognized among Pittsburgh's top executives as a "SMART50 Honoree," an award given by Smart Business Magazine to acknowledge innovative companies making an impact. She served on the boards of Highmark. She currently serves on the boards of Highmark, Ascender, LLC; Pittsburgh Dance Council; Pittsburgh Metropolitan Hispanic Chamber; and Kelly Strayhorn Theater. She serves in an honorary board role at WQED Multimedia and is actively involved with the Latino Community Center. She also founded 2 Pittsburgh chapters of the Women Presidents' Organization, a peer-to-peer learning model for women-owned businesses with revenues over $1MM. She received her BS in Psychology at the University of Utah and is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh's Class IX; the Donald H. Jones Entrepreneurship Program at Tepper School of Business; the Tuck Executive Education Program; and the Harvard Kennedy School for Executive Education Program.
