Biography

Ms. Vilma Consuegra served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications at Acosta. Vilma Consuegra joined Acosta in 2002 as director of communications and was named vice president, corporate communications in January 2011, and senior vice president in September 2013. She is responsible for translating the company's business objectives into fully-integrated communication strategies, overseeing the company's internal communication, advertising and public relations, as well as brand and corporate marketing activities. Prior to joining Acosta, Consuegra served as director of marketing for the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), a 22,000-member global society for professionals involved in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and related products. Prior to ISPE she worked in marketing and public relations with HCA's flag-ship North Florida Regional Medical Center. Consuegra is a board member of Angelwood, a member of the Leadership Jacksonville Board of Directors, as well as a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville class of 2008. In 2011 she was selected by the Jacksonville Business Journal as a Top 40 Under 40. Consuegra holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
